A wise designer once told me that every project must prioritize three components: time, quality, and budget. It's our responsibility to understand how the client prioritizes these elements, and the success of the project depends on it. The primary goal was to create an open sightline from the front door to the back door, as the landscape itself was a work of art. The challenge was that the kitchen, with its load-bearing wall, was in the way of this vision. This client was hands-on throughout the entire process, from design to construction. A creative spirit, he tirelessly mastered new craftsmanship techniques and continuously upgraded at each stage. No decisions were rushed, and time was never a concern when making choices. Price was not an obstacle if it improved the final result, as quality remained the top priority. High-grade, grain-matched walnut was selected for its stunning beauty and unique grain pattern, complemented by an ultra-matte black acrylic accent to enhance visibility. Originally, the plan was to plaster the hood, but after completing that, he decided to learn the technique himself and ended up refinishing the entire room.
