Green With Envy
Wife: “I want to make the formal living room a space the whole family can use.” Husband: “How about a game room/bar?” The task was tastefully marrying the two concepts without creating an all-out man cave as you are welcomed into the house. They had the furniture, but they weren’t spending any time in the room as it stood. An existing fireplace and large picturesque windows were existing features to be incorporated into the schematic. Due to depth constraints around the fireplace, it was decided to focus on storage and display and creating the ‘coziness’ factor on the one side. On the other side, to create full service in the bar it needed refrigeration for soda and water, a cooler for chilling wine and the ultimate, a kegerator with dual tap.
