The client wanted to have a kitchen that felt as special with all the bells and whistles as her two recently remodeled bathrooms. Topping the list of priorities was: cutting edge appliances, finishes that would complement the other remodeled spaces, and extreme organization. Her goal was to declutter her life and home. The client was extremely excited about the appliance selection. A dishwasher that cleaned the dishes without prewashing was a dream come true. The hood was so quite she thought it didn’t work and she loved the colored illumination. The slide-in range featured all digital controls with a super sleek look. Finally, the microwave integrated seamlessly into the upper cabinets..

A brushed limestone tile in an intricate pattern, the same tile used on the shower walls was selected to continue for the main house floor. The counters, walls and backsplash were all a light shade of grey and a deep espresso cabinet added the right contrast to give a sophisticated look. Within the U-shape of the kitchen accessories clearly defined what would be stored where. Deep drawers house pots and pans, spices and oils have a rack conveniently located next to the hood, silverware and cooking utensils are strategically located where they will be most used. Transforming the nook into additional storage turned out to be one of the best features allowing display for treasures found while traveling and creating a work station that looked over the soon to be remodeled great room.
